Shooting Sports Showcase 2021: Action Bays

Eight companies took advantage of the opportunity to exhibit their products in a more private setting. An assortment of clays placed against the berm and steel targets allowed companies to vary the distance shot and firearms utilized.

American Tactical Inc. opted for both of these target types. Their Milsport 410 automatic shotgun offers a unique take on a standard gauge. Use of a Milsport lower receiver allows the firearm to be converted to 5.56 or 300 blackout simply by changing the upper. The 18.5” barrel is chambered for 2 1/2” .410 gauge shells and hosts polymer front and rear flip up sights. Adhering to traditional AR specs allows the 410 upper to be installed on most mil-spec lower receivers, changing the way people view a shotgun for home defense or even small game.

On the more traditional side, Taylor’s & Company showcased a variety of lever-action rifles and revolvers. Participants enjoyed a step into the past here – shooting iron sights and beautiful reproductions. One of Taylor’s newest offerings is the Ace, a .44 caliber black powder revolver. For those looking for two-guns in one or the ability to shoot both black powder and center-fire, conversion kits are available.

Century Arms brought along their popular Palm Banana Mag as well as a limited-edition model of the Canik TP9SFX pistol. This Whiteout special edition 9mm competition style pistol has a match grade barrel and is equipped with warrant tactical sights though it comes optics ready. Reasonably priced for an entry-level competition gun, one could not ignore the sharp and somewhat elegant Cerakote finish that turned a traditional style pistol into an eye candy.

Each of these companies brought an abundance of other firearms, but these were the real showstoppers at the respective areas.
