Smith & Wesson has officially announced the release of the M&P Shield, a new pistol for concealed carry. Chambered in 9mm or .40 S&W, the Shield is less than an inch wide, less than five inches tall and just a hair over six inches in overall length. Include with each pistol is two magazines, one with a +1 extended base pad.
