Shot Show 2015 was the obvious place for SOG to release their new Switchplier 2.0; a twelve-tool multi tool. Similar to a switchblade (whence comes the name), the Switchplier can be deployed with the the push of a button. This obviously makes it easier for one-handed use. The Switchplier features SOG’s spring load Compound Leverage pliers, a small and a medium flat screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, a hard wire cutter, a bottle opener, a ruler, a can opener, a bolt grip channel, and a 3-sided file. The blade of the multi-tool is similar to others in the sense that it is built into the handle. SOG says, “The SwitchPlier 2.0 is ready when called into action”. Some people will no doubt want it as much to deploy it over an over again as to use the way it was intended. The Switchplier MSRP’s for $64.
If you missed SOG last week at Shot Show (they were at booth #425, if you were wondering) you can still check out their website or Facebook for more pictures and info.
