SureFire has released a Rechargeable Battery Kit for their LED Flashlights, dubbed the SF2R-KIT01. The kit includes two rechargeable LFP 123A lithium-phosphate batteries and a charger. The batteries will work with any SureFire LED light that uses disposable 123A lithium batteries. They will hold roughly 50% of their original capacity even after 500 charging cycles. The charger can use an AC (wall socket) or DC (car) to recharge the LFP batteries, and charges two batteries at a time.
There is a downside though, as with pretty much all rechargeable batteries the LFP 123A's run time isn't anywhere near as long as disposables. Compared to SureFire's disposable 123A lithium batteries the LFP's have approximately 50% the run time. Also these batteries are only to be used in SureFire lights that use an LED emitter, they are NOT to be used with lights with incandescent bulbs.
MSRP for the SF2R-KIT01 is $29, and additional LFP 123A lithium-phosphate batteries (SF2R-CB) are sold in pairs for $12.

Dear Recoil,
I want to first thank you for another refreshing, informative issue. I can't say enough good about what Jerry Tsai, writers, and photographers have brought to the gun culture in the first 2 magazines. Keep up the good work. I am glad to hear that it will become a bi-monthly production! Great news!! With sincere desire to see this magazine excel for years to come, let me offer a bit of one mans opinion with corrective criticism. Everything is perfect, save for the ultra small font type face in the following sections, incoming, transport, unusual suspects and so on, where the info for said product is superimposed over the corresponding number. The design of this is awesome and on the best I have ever seen in any magazine, except for how small the font is, even with 20-15 vision it takes alot of effort for me to read this, and I don't want to overlook any of the great information you provide. Thanks for listening and Lord Bless.

P.S. Also love the layout of the magazine, don't change a thing regarding how each article runs straight through and no flipping to the back to finish it, can't stand that.
Great article on the Sure Fire Fury models. Because of your article I bought two Fury Combat lights. The brightest I have ever got. Then you did a review of the Sure Fire charger . Great charger but the readers need to know that Sure Fire outsourced the charger . It's still a great charger and you can save a lot of money on batteries .
Great job!!!!
