Here is a new take on an old idea; the Flickshot. The Flickshot is a slingshot with a trigger. You're slinging at the target the way youngsters have done since before Dennis the Menace, but you’re going to pull a trigger to let it go. The Flickshot promises to bring you back to your childhood as you take aim at your target. To learn more, continue reading what the creator has to say below and how to get one on Kickstarter.
Anyone who's ever been a kid has spent time throwing rocks at a tin can. Those memories, and my love of seeing random objects launched, are behind the design for the Flickshot. When you pull the trigger, a wheel flicks open.
The Flickshot consists of an aluminum body, stainless steel trigger mechanism and a leather pouch. An adjustable wrist strap removes any strain from your fingers. Yes, it's fun.
Most of the parts for this project have to be custom made. That includes getting stainless steel and aluminum cut. Tumbling it to finish all the edges. And, getting a custom leather die made for the sling pouch.
