Get your inner Viking on: Til Valhall

Knife Hand the World released a new shirt style in cooperation with Anachrobellum Designs just in time or the new season of Vikings — Til Valhall (to Valhalla).  They describe it as an homage to the ethos of the warrior archetype that at one time had most of Christendom saying, “A furore Normannorum libera nos, Domine.”

Says KHTW,

“Our new Til Valhall shirt portrays what we think a modern Viking pipe-hitter would look like while servicing his enemies, whether those are Al Shabaab, Daesh, MS13 bangers or Taliban child molesters in a man dress.  As you can see, this particular berserker is a little better equipped to wreak slaughter and carnage upon his foe than his distant ancestors were, we're pretty sure Gunnar Hamundarson and Egil Skallagrimsson would approve. True to form he has transitioned from rifle to a skull splitter to make a point.

Okay, maybe they didn’t have frags and mags and select fire blasters in the Fóstbræðra saga, but that’s the way Anachrobellum rolls…and for that matter, it’s the way most of you roll as you conquer your way to Valhöll.”

“To get in the proper spirit of this design, you'll want to crank up the soundtrack to Blackhawk Down or Tears of the Sun and then recite the following: Lo there do I see my father; Lo there do I see my mother and my sisters and my brothers; Lo there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. Lo, they do call me, they bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever.”

The design certainly seems channels the ferocity of Weath the Musician, Rollo Lothbrok or Kirk Douglas's Einar (especially after he lost his left eye)…perhaps not so much Snorri the Miserable, but hey. It takes all kinds.
