It seems almost everyone these days is building an EDC multitool that's made from a single piece of metal with a bit holder in it. Some are shaped like animals while others are supposed to be used as brass knuckles if it comes to it. What sets the Titanium Aero EDC Multitool apart from others is that it's fairly small and packs a tight group of valuable features in it. It's not just a bottle opener with poorly thought out tool placement. The other thing you might notice about the arrow-shaped Aero is that it's extremely affordable.
The Titanium Aero Multitool was designed by Otha Matthews and backed by a name you might recognize: Darrel Ralph. Otha said this about the design.
“We at DGT Gear feel people should back our project because it is a simple product that solves a common problem. “I had the idea when I worked on my feet all day as a machining engineer. I needed multiple tools handy at various times during the work day. I found myself digging through my pockets looking for the right multi tool with the tool I needed at the time. It usually was hard to get what I needed in a sufficient amount of time, even if I could find it quickly, my pockets were weighed down and would stick out with all of the tools in my pockets. That’s when I came up with the Aero tool, it solved a big percentage of my problem. It’s light compact design and versatility allowed me to get my pockets back, that day is when I knew I had a winner.”
The Aero combines a bottle opener (quite nicely in fact) with hex bit holder, hex bit hole, universal screwdriver and a small prybar.
If you're interested in backing this project you can head over to their Kickstarter here. There is just under 2 weeks remaining to pledge support to the Aero.
