The Ugandan Expendables

Operation Kakongoliro is upon us. That's right. It's the Ugandan Expendables, a new action film brought to you by Wakaliwood. As you may recall, Wakaliwood is who brought you the greatest action film in the history of the world.

Wakaliwood is the action movie studio located in the slums of Wakaliga, Uganda. Founded in 2005 by Ugandan filmmaker Nabwana IGG, they're the home of Ramon Film Productions. Their efforts, while seemingly laughable, have not only produced viral videos viewed by millions but have also done great things to fight the desperate poverty of the area. Nabwanna and Wakaliwood have produced more than 40 films so far, including Who Killed Captain Alex, which was a stunning success on YouTube.

As you can see (or you will if you watch it) the movie is full of awesomeness, from “super deadly kick scenes” and rapid fire to handgun rounds that blow bad guys into pieces more effectively than 40 mike-mike. There's more to it but I can't understand most of what he's saying. Some of these guns are awesome, as are the special effects.

Buy a t-shirt, morale patch or movie poster from their “Supastore.”

About Nabwana IGG:

A self-taught filmmaker with over 40 feature films to his credit, Nabwana Isaac Godfrey Geoffrey’s (IGG) film education consists of one partial course in computer repair and his own trial-and-error experiences with cameras and editing software. He began making films at age 32, just after the birth of his first child.

While supporting himself and his family as a school teacher, IGG founded Ramon Film Productions. Perhaps best-known for Who Killed Captain Alex: Uganda’s First Action Movie and Tebaatusasula, IGG’s videos have repeatedly gone viral and have attracted the attention of media worldwide. Surprisingly, Nabwana IGG has never been to a movie theater.
