Building a belt: a look behind the scenes at OSOE

Original Special Operations Equipment (OSOE) posted this video recently. It was filmed during a visit by FXHummel. I watched the video, then afterward while scrolling back through John's photos (John Willis, HMFIC at OSOE) I noticed some decals I apparently missed earlier in the Summer. I thought I'd share the decals and the video. John has a well-deserved reputation for a brusque and abrasive demeanor. Like some others in the industries he has as many die-hard loyalists as he does detractors. In my experience, he makes excellent gear and  has always treated me well. I was in the shop while John finished up the first rigger's belt I ever owned, over 15 years ago – it is still in service today.

Here's a quick look at how they build a belt at the Original Special Operations Equipment shop. I have no idea whatsoever it's a typical day, but if I were to hazard a guess I'd say there really isn't such a thing at OSOE. James Yeager of Tactical Response makes a couple of appearances  to make things more “piquant”. I will warn you in advance; there is profanity, and some of the commentary will stir up angst and butthurt. As long as you don't mind that, or can overlook it to peer behind the scenes, it's worth watching.
