Learn More If you needed yet another reason for more cookies in your life, Kitfox Design Group seamlessly merges carbines and calories with a timely holiday season release of their firearm cookie cutters. Since the unexpected, whimsical success of their firearms coloring book last year, Kitfox has been plotting a followup to get children even more excited (and educated) about guns. And what could be more subtle, more insidious, more camel’s-noise-under-the-tent, than offering your anti-gun loved ones some tasty, warm-out-of-the-oven, pastry goodness – but shaped like a Colt AR carbine? Guaranteed to “trigger” conversations that some families would prefer to avoid, but what’s a Christmas gathering without a little post-dinner social policy debate? Kitfox Design Group is powered by Sara Westman, a graphic designer and technical illustrator in the firearms industry, known for her high detail firearm morale patches and firearm coloring books. Westman says she wanted to put these out to continue her goal of “creating the opportunity for positive conversations surrounding firearms without having to be at the range or at a gun counter.” Each cutter is made of food grade, hand-washable, stainless steel and range from 3.5-inch to 6.5-inch sizes. Downloadable recipe cards come with the purchase, and additional recipes and projects will be shared on Kitfox’s website over the season. The set gives you five different gun-themed cookie cutters that will please everyone from crusty old shooters to modern Instagram-showoff heroes: Retro XM177E (“Grandpa carried this in the ‘Nam. Which is why he’s deaf. Mad respect.”) Glock 19 with RDO and comp (“Roland has gained a few pounds since these cookies.”) IPSC Target (“It’s like pasting up targets… with frosting.”) J-Frame Revolver (“Sights? Who needs sights?”) Krinkov AK-type (“Tommy, why do you hate America?”) Whether your jam is old guns or new, artery-clogging frosted gingerbread to annoyingly-healthy Keto shortbread, or even fun-shaped dog treats, you can probably find a reason to put plates of these out for visitors this season. The sets are available now on the Kitfox Design Group website, at $15.99 for the five pack of cutters. They ship via USPS Priority Mail or Express. As a bonus, any coloring book orders sent directly to an APO/FPO/DPO address will get a complimentary set of colored pencils, sharpener, and eraser now until December 24th. (Christmas Delivery Guarantee cutoff for Military addresses is December 1.) Orders now will get these in time so you’ll be able to bring trays of tongue-in-cheek treats to liberal relatives or liven up your office Christmas party!
