AfterSHOT: ATS Tactical Gear New Nylon Goods

ATS Tactical Gear has a slew of new gear out this year and have a new website on the way too. We picked a few of those items to show to you below. ATS Tacical Gear is all made in the USA and covered by the ATS Gear lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. In case your wondering what the cover photo is for this press release its the ATS Aegis V2 Plate Carrier now in Multicam Arid.

atsadamsbelt

The ATS Adams Belt was designed by a friend of ATS who needed a better way to tie into a helicopter, as most rigger’s belts have a triangle tie in on the front of the belt, while the attachment points in the bird are behind the wearer. He asked for the option of a soft loop at the back of the belt, and we listened.

This variant of the ATS Cobra Rigger's Belt features a second soft loop sewn in the center of the back of the belt for securing safety lanyards. The Adams Belt uses the excellent AustriAlpin Cobra buckle for both ease of use and incredible strength. The Cobra buckle is rated to 11kN, over 2470 pounds of force. That's strong.

atsminiifak

The ATS Mini IFAK System is a two part, belt mounted kit aimed at Law Enforcement use. The System consists of an outer pouch with a fold-over, Velcro closed belt loop that is adjustable to accommodate a variety of duty belts. The pouch is closed by a pair of #8 YKK Zipper pulls on a #8 Mil Spec coil zipper. It is designed to open about half way to make access to the inner tray quick and easy. There is a removable 2 inch square red medical cross on a black background included. The pouch measures about 6 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 3 inches deep and is constructed of 500D Cordura fabric.

The inner tray is a custom, shorter version of the ATS Medical Insert. It features a red nylon loop at the top for easy removal from the outer pouch, and is held closed by a 1″ Cordura nylon strap. This design accommodates a variety of load out widths. The inside of the tray features two Elastic loops on each side of the tray for organizing medical supplies. The tray is stiffened with HDPE making it rigid and easy to deploy on the ground next to a casualty.

atshorizontalmagazinepouch

The ATS Horizontal Fast Mag Pouch was designed at the behest of a friend of the company who was deployed in Afghanistan and had need of a “fast mag” (an easily reached reload that can be executed quickly) to be carried on his armor. He nicknamed it “the Afghan Happy Mag Pouch”.

This pouch is designed to mount horizontally. Retention is accomplished with a Kydex insert that pinches the magazine and holds it secure. It can be used on armor or first line belts like the ATS War Belt.

Make sure to head on over to the ATS Tactical Gear website for more.

What is the NSSF SHOT Show?

The NSSF SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show) and Conference is an annual event held by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Typically attended by thousands of people from all 50 states and over a hundred countries, it is (quite rightfully) described as the “…world's premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services.

Imagine the Worlds' Fair, but packed with everything from mini-guns and every breed of body armor, bows and boots; from eye pro and ear pro to optics and ordnance, socks to swords…you get the idea. If you'd like to see a sampling of the companies who will be showing at this year's SHOT, there's a live map right here, though it doesn't reflect the organizations set up elsewhere, in hotel suites, etc.
