Learn More Written by Jacki Billings Apex Tactical announced this week that its Sig Sauer P320 trigger series will soon emerge from forced seclusion to re-inhabit the trigger maker’s lineup. Apex says it temporarily suspended P320 trigger sales in August after Sig Sauer underwent a “voluntary upgrade” to combat the pistol’s reported drop safety issue. The trigger maker said it elected to remove inventory until it could vet the upgraded pistol. “Following Sig Sauer's voluntary upgrade program for the P320, announced on August 8, 2017, Apex elected to suspend sale of its own triggers for the pistol until such time as the company could thoroughly test redesigned products with the latest Sig Sauer safety upgrades for the P320,” Apex said in a statement. “Apex is pleased to announce that, after extensive testing, new, lighter versions of all three Apex triggers are currently in production.” The re-released triggers will feature three models in total — the Apex Flat-Faced Action Enhancement Trigger, the Apex Flat Advanced Trigger, and the Curved Advanced Trigger. Each variant offers its own features designed to help Sig P320 shooters dial in an individualized fit. The Apex Flat-Faced Action Enhancement is not only a mouth-full to say but packs in some features shooters might find useful when updating their Sigs. Though the Action Enhancement does not alter pull weight, the drop-in does provide a flat face style that Apex says delivers increased trigger reach and a natural resting position for the shooter’s finger. The trigger, like all of Apex’s P320 products, does not require any specialized tools or gunsmithing to drop in. Next up in the P320 series is the Flat Advanced Trigger. Like the name suggests, the Flat Advanced model also flaunts a flat-faced trigger construction with all the benefits that entails; however the Flat Advanced kicks the design up a notch, reducing pull weight by 2-pounds. Topping off the models, is the Curved Advanced Trigger. Though the Curved won’t see the light of day for a few more weeks, Apex says its construction is similar to that of the factory P320's contour; but, reduces overall pull weight by 2-pounds. With prices in the sub-$50 category and a release date set for Dec. 26 for the Advanced and Action Enhancement variants, Apex is already taking pre-orders on the re-designed P320 drop-ins.
