Gear Archangel Design Range Cap (aka Hat, Tactical, AHM1V2) Recoil Staff March 21, 2016 Join the Conversation This is the Archangel Design range cap — at least that's what we're calling it. The official name is apparently Hat, Tactical – AHM1V2 and let's face it, that's not a terribly handy moniker. Archangel Design, previously known as Archangel Armor, is a small, veteran owned business headquartered in Fayatteville, NC. The office is in garage turned office-production facility near Ft. Bragg, but the breadth of the products they make belie the seemingly small company size. Not everything worthwhile needs to be drastic, however. While there's nothing awe inspiring or earthshaking about what they've done with these hats, they're a surprisingly convenient addition to your range or field kit and we really like them. As you can see, what they've done is taken an olive drab Yupoong Flexfit cap and sewn some hook-and-loop panels to it. They've also attached two loops of some sturdy elastic material to the side of the cap, just above the lower edge of the sides. This places them in the perfect position to secure the stems of your eyepro or sunglasses so you don't lose track of it (or send it flying off the brim of your hat to get scratched up on the ground). There's a hook and loop panel on the front and back as well as a small one on the top (presumably for glint tape, though for the vast majority of wearers that won't ever be used). The panel on the back has been reinforced with nylon and is open at the top, giving you a little “pouch” like opening in which to stash your in-ear earpro. There's a pull loop sewn to that panel as well, and the Flexfit cap features cloth eyelets around the crown for ventilation. It comes in 3 colors (black, green and coyote) and 2 sizes and sells for $27. You'll want to use these links to learn more. There are at least 3 versions of a company Facebook page out there and one website that doesn't work. Not sure what that's all about, but here's a direct link to the hat: https://archangel.odoo.com/shop/product/hat-tactical-ahm1v2-15. The company site is here. They're on Facebook right here and you can also take a look at their YouTube channel here.
