Barrel to Banner: Heritage Flags New Betsy Ross Flag

Over the Independence Day weekend, Heritage Flag Company released a new bourbon barrel flag commemorating the Betsy Ross Flag (the first official American flag). It will feature the 13 stars and stripes present on the flag originally commissioned by the Continental Congress and adopted in July 1777. Like all Heritage Flag Company flags, each Betsy Ross flat will be handcrafted “from barrel to banner” from Kentucky Bourbon barrel staves in a workshop in Southern Pines, NC.
