The World's Largest Fully Suppressed Range Day came with more firepower than ever in 2025.

Circumnavigating the suppressor world is a tough road to travel. Which is why CANCON has become such an invaluable asset to this niche in the firearms world.

The world’s largest fully suppressed range day a evolved into an important gateway to the fastest-growing firearms accessory on the market. And in its second year at the Clinton Plantation House in Clinton, S.C., it was an absolute quiet riot of hushed-up shooting.

More shooters than ever before learned about, perused, and—most importantly—shot some of the best suppressors available today. But going hands-on with the latest and greatest quiet pipes was only one of the attractions at the keystone event.

Vietnam-era attack helicopter, top-end tactical knives, survival classes and shooting competitions against seasoned veterans—CANCON had something for everyone. Here’s a look at the extravaganza.

Clinton House Plantation

If you haven’t been to CANCON yet, you’re missing out. Not only for the top suppressors at the event, but also for the venue itself. Sprawling through the South Carolina foothills, the Clinton House Plantation range is an absolute gem in the shooting world and provides a ton of shooting lanes, a 1,000-yard range and a 1-mile range for the event.

Putting on CANCON takes more than cans, shooters, and a range. It also takes nearly a metric ton of ammo to pull off. How does the event accomplish this? Not on its own. This year, Ammoman provided nearly every round sent down range, to whom the event owes a debt of gratitude.

VIP Day

Suppressors are the main attraction for most at CANCON, but those familiar with the event make sure to attend as VIPs. This status grants them early entry, first access to the range, and what is widely regarded as one of the most generous gift bags in the industry. No kidding, the gift bag has become a highlight for attendees.

This year, VIP attendees walked away with:

Pros Vs. Joes Shooting Competition

A hallmark event of CANCON has become the infamous Pros vs. Joes shooting competitions, where everyday attendees pit their marksmanship skills against pro shooters. This isn’t just for bragging rights—those are on the line—but for some exceptional prizes. This year, competitors walked off with a suite of incredible gun gear put together by CANCON sponsors, including:

Winners of Pros Vs. Joes included:

  • 11:00 a.m. – Maxim Defense Winner #1: Luke Baxley
  • 11:30 a.m. – Maxim Defense Winner #2: Brian Gregory
  • 1:00 p.m. – Meprolight Red Dot Optic Winner: Steven Bowman
  • 1:30 p.m. – LWRC International 9mm Rifle Winner: Devon Christie

Mile Challenge

Even with the best hardware, connecting at a mile is still a challenge. A lucky few CANCON attendees had the opportunity to try hitting at the extreme range with gear specially tailored to the job.

The Barrett Mile Challenge put a .416 Barrett on the shoulder of everyday shooters, allowing them to test their skills at a mile. Even with the right equipment, not everyone was able to make the shot come in—even in the pristine conditions of a South Carolina fall. However, the few that did walked away with a token to remember their success, an absolutely solid Barrett challenge coin, struck for the event.

BLADE Show Tactical Knife Show

What makes the best companion to the world’s largest suppressed range day? How about the world’s largest knife show? Well, BLADE Tactical is quite at the same scale as its big brother down in Atlanta—yet. However, it did offer up a ton of top-end edged tools to the suppressor-buying public.

These weren’t just any knives, either, but some of the top names in tactical knives, such as Stroup Knives, Krine Knives, Heretic Knives, Spartan Blades and many more.

The Proving Grounds

Think you have the stuff to shoot and thrive under adverse conditions? The Proving Grounds put you to the test at CANCON. The long-running show partner set up their torture test smack dab in the middle of the shooting action, giving attendees the chance to test their mettle.

If you missed CANCON or the Proving Grounds this time around, they’ll be back around at our other shows. Furthermore, the group puts on competitions around the nation, so if you want to see if you can shoot after dragging a man-sized and weighted dummy 50 yards, check them out.

1,000-yard Range with Gunwerks

The 1,000-yard range has become a mainstay at CANCON events, giving shooters the opportunity to see exactly what they’re made of. Not to mention give the some top-notch equipment the once over.

This year, Gunwerks held down the fort at the range, which resulted in plenty of hits at the extreme distance. The precision rifle manufacturer is renowned in hunting circles for making nearly impossible shots come in, but this year highlights its Revik scope system. Not only is it dialled in glass, but it also integrates with a rangefinder and ballistic calculator.

Offgrid Base Camp

Basecamp provided a place where shooters could sharpen their shooting and survival skills.

Like a small survival school tucked into the suppressor event, Base Camp was the ideal spot if you were looking to improve your skills. From packing wounds to running rifle drills were the orders of the day of the Offgrid-tent, with plenty of gear thrown in for good measure.

The event within an event brought together instructors, authors and manufacturers with real-world backgrounds and training experience. This included military, special operations, wilderness survival, trauma medicine and tracking.

Some of the highlights included:

There was much more in the slower-paced Base Camp, but suffice to say it offered a welcome oasis for those looking to learn as well as shoot.

Where To Get Suppressors

Shooting suppressors is a blast, but it should extend past CANCON. One of the ideas behind the event is to help folks get an idea of what they might want for their first or 50th. And, whether you knew it or not, suppressors are simpler to get than ever before—wait times are days, and come January 2026, there will no longer be a $200 tax stamp.

One of the groups helping get folks down the road to owning suppressors at the event was T&K Outdoors. With a brick-and-mortar in Spartanburg, S.C. and a large online presence, the retailer helped shooters navigate their way to suppressor ownership.

Future CANCONs

If you're into the quiet side of shooting—precision work, new suppressors, all that good stuff—CANCON is still the main event. Seriously, it's a huge win when people show up to shoot cool guns but end up leaving with actual, valuable insight.

If you missed this year, don't worry. You can find all the information and snag those tickets for CANCON 2026 right over on the event page: https://canconevent.com/
