They told us about their Kimber Micro 9 line for concealed carry and we thought we’d pass it along. Here’s what CrossBreed has to say. SHOT Show 2017: CrossBreed Delivering Holsters for New Kimber Micro 9 Due to the growing popularity of the Kimber Micro 9, CrossBreed designed their most popular holsters to fit this new concealed carry gun. According to Kimber, “The easily concealed Micro 9 features mild recoil, smooth trigger pull and the intuitive operation of a 1911”, and due to the number of CrossBreed Holster customers asking for a holster for this firearm, they agree. CrossBreed serves Kimber customers with the finest holster available with the addition of the Micro 9 in some of their most popular holsters, including the SuperTuck, MiniTuck, Appendix Carry, Freedom Carry, Womens Appendix Carry, Qwik Clip, MicroClip, Modular Belly Band, Last Ditch, Ram Mount, SuperSlide, MiniSlide, Ankle Holster, Cargo Pocket Rocket, Ohai, Bedside Backup, Purse Defender, Small Purse Defender, Pac Mat and Small Pac Mat. More about CrossBreed Holsters straight from the horse’s mouth. Under the direction and ingenuity of Mark Craighead, CrossBreed Holsters LLC was born in 2005. Mark was an avid shooter, re-loader and concealed carry permit holder who was introduced to firearms at a young age by his father. With a strong interest in firearms — particularly handguns — Mark grew his knowledge of the firearms industry. And with his experience, Mark became familiar with holsters, learning what worked and what did not. After collecting his proverbial “box of holsters,” Mark decided to create a design of his own, incorporating the best features of other holsters and discarding the non-functional elements. In doing so, Mark had handcrafted a new breed of holsters. Within a couple of years, Mark’s hybrid holster design had achieved such popularity that his company, CrossBreed Holsters, gained national recognition as a leading manufacturer of some of the best and most functional concealment holsters available on the market today. Each holster is handmade by craftsmen personally trained by Mark. These craftsmen continue to pass on the skills, traditions, and attention to detail to the new generation of craftsmen who have joined the company under Mark’s original vision. Mark was often asked about the name CrossBreed Holsters. He was not ashamed to answer that, although there is some reference to the hybrid holster designs he created, the larger meaning behind his company’s name references the Lord Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross that was made for all mankind. You can find CrossBreed Holsters online. If you’re headed to SHOT Show 2017, you can find them at booth # 4459. This has been a special SHOT Show installment of Industry News. The NSSF SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show) and Conference is an annual event held by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Typically attended by thousands of people from all 50 states and over a hundred countries, it is (quite rightfully) described as the “…world's premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services. Imagine the Worlds' Fair, but packed with everything from mini-guns and every breed of body armor, bows and boots; from eye pro and ear pro to optics and ordnance, socks to swords…you get the idea. If you'd like to see a sampling of the companies who will be showing at this year's SHOT, there's a live map right here, though it doesn't reflect the organizations set up elsewhere, in hotel suites, etc View imagery from our coverage of last year's SHOT Show here; 2015's is right here.
