The Ultimate Firearms Destination for the Gun Lifestyle

Ex Historiam: Remington Arms, “One at a Time”

Here's an interesting video from back in the day. In it you'll hear how Remington maintains the “ancient art of gunsmithing in the modern world.” It's a half an hour of such things as the selection process for the wood to be used in a firearm, the engraving process, precision testing and other parts of the manufacturing process.

From nearly 50 years ago.

Watch as the newfangled cawm-pewter, attached to an automatic drafting machine, draws out the receiver for a .410 gauge Model 1100, spelling out the “…specs and instructions for machinery with a precision no human being could match.”
