A new addition to the legendary Colt Snake line of revolvers, Colt announced their new “baby snake” King Cobra Target revolver chambered in .22 LR at the NRA Annual Meetings.
“We are very excited to debut this new baby snake to our customers at NRA Annual Meetings,” said Justin Baldini, VP of Product Strategy, Colt CZ-USA. “Shooting .22 LR is such an important part of shooting sports. It’s where we come to learn as a beginner; and where we return as seasoned shooters to cost-effectively enjoy more time at the range. We’re confident that new and old Colt fans will love what we’ve done with the new King Cobra 22 LR.”
Designed for new and experienced shooters alike the .22 King Cobra features a stainless steel frame and one-piece stainless steel barrel. Paired with an adjustable target rear sight, fiber optic front sight for sharp sight picture, and Hogue over-molded rubber grips.
Using the same legendary trigger that the .357 King Cobra Target uses this new snakelet is aimed at being comfortable for shooters looking to train their skills, hunt small game, spend a day plinking at the range, or participate in small bore competitions.
Feating a 10-round capacity and soon to be available in 4-1/4” and 6” models. Both models will use a standard 1:16RH twist.
.22 LR has never been more popular for shooters of all levels and a high-quality, American-made King Cobra will be a welcome addition.
It will also be interesting to see since this will be one of the first firearms released since Colt was bought by CZ-USA.
Colt has a short video to go along with their announcement, but no mention of MSRP or date of availability.
