First Look: Goodies from Oakley SI

Oakley Standard Issue (Oakley SI) is a division of Oakley specifically formed to fulfill the needs of military, law enforcement, and first responders. Recently I went hands on with a pair of their newer products: the black Radar EV glasses with the polarized Prizm lenses. Happily, they also arrived with some gloves. This is just a quick overview, but you can expect to see more from some of the those attending the Trails Found course in the near future.

The Prizm series of lenses are specifically tailored to fine tune your vision for different activities. Oakley has them for fishing, golf, the road, and more. Of course they also have them for shooting, which are the ones you see here. Keep an eye on social media for #TrailsFound16 for more.

The Radar EV's feature everything you'd expect from Oakley SI like maximum visibility and breathability. Here's what they say about 'em.

I also received a set of the Oakley SI Lightweight Gloves. They fit nicely with just the right amount of stretch, and the extra grip on the pointer and middle fingers is a welcomed feature.

AIRPRENE JOINT PANELS
Engineered for added breathability, Airprene is utilized in joint panels to improve fit and flexibility. This enhances both comfort and freedom of movement.

BREATHABILITY
Special textiles and construction techniques enhance breathability to improve comfort by reducing the buildup of moisture and heat. The resulting micro-environment is less favorable to bacterial growth, so breathability helps reduce odor.

O STRETCH™
Combines the freedom of movement and comfortable fit of resilient four-way stretch with HydroFree™ treatment, a technology that repels water. HydroFree minimizes water absorption and moisture retention, and it allows the garment to dry more quickly.
