Learn More YOU GET AN OPTIC, AND YOU GET AN OPTIC, EVERYBODY GETS AN OPTIC!!!Big news from FN in the last few days, they’re jumping on the optics train!Originally released the FN 502 (.22 LR), FN 545 (.45 ACP), and FN 510 (10mm) did not come optics-ready. However, FN is now releasing MRD versions of all three pistols, making them finally optics-ready.The FN 502 in .22 LR will come with suppressor-ready irons sights, and an optics plate. Sadly, it ships with only a 10 round magazine. MSRP is $470. FN 545 in .45 ACP comes in the MRD or Tactical models, both optics-ready. The MRD comes with day sights and a 15 round magazine, while the Tactical model comes with night sights, an 18 round magazine, and a threaded barrel ready for a suppressor. MRD MSRP is $920, Tactical MSRP is $1,140.Finally, the FN 510 (10mm) also comes in MRD and Tactical flavors. The MRD has a 15 round magazine and day sights. Tactical comes with a huge 22 round mag, night sights, and a suppressor-ready threaded barrel. MRD MSRP is $920, Tactical MSRP is $1,140. If you want optics on your pistol and a boatload of firepower, the Tactical FN 510 might be for you.“When we first started the development of the FN 502 platform, our goal was to up the ante for quality and versatility in a new rimfire pistol, applying our expertise in factory milled optics-ready slides, suppressor-ready barrels, and professional-quality triggers, some of the most sought after benefits in the FN 509 and FNX pistol product lines. We truly set a high bar for the industry,” said Chris Cole, Vice President of Sales for FN America, LLC. “The MRD model is the natural evolution of the FN 502 platform, allowing users to add a red dot, and make the most of the exceptional trigger. The MRD model offers another high-performance .22LR pistol for our customer base who value affordable quality in their rimfire pistols.”“Following the overwhelmingly positive response to the FN 510 and 545 Tactical, which released in January, we received customer feedback requesting models in these calibers with flush-fit barrels, day sights and magazines that were more carry-friendly, as well as accessible in states that restrict threaded barrels or capacity,” said Chris Cole, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for FN America, LLC. “These MRD models, following the successful formula of the FN 509 MRD models, feature our patented optics mounting technology in a 15-round grip frame optimized for accuracy and shootability.”Explore RECOILweb:Guns, Weed, and State's Rights.308 Winchester Vs. .30-06 Springfield: Battle Of The 30 CalsFourth Circuit Court of Appeals Ruling on Assault WeaponsEveryman use of force: grey and not so grey areas.
