People For Those Who Gave All David Reeder January 31, 2014 Join the Conversation Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyers runs a business organization called For Those Who Gave All. The FTWGA project is just the latest way that Meyer continues to serve his country, the public good and to keep himself positive. Meyer, who was the first living Marine in 30 years to receive the Medal of Honor and the author of Into the Fire, has announced a new partnership with Vertx to create a stylized line of co-branded apparel that reflect the commitment, patriotism and sacrifice that is FTWGA's foundation. Its purpose will be to “…bring awareness to those brave men and women who have served.” Portions of each sale will at first go to Team Rubicon, though other organizations may be selected in the future (they have previously supported the Folds of Honor Foundation, for instance). Meyer intends to be heavily involved in product development, marketing and sale; Vertx advises the new designs are currently available for preorder here. Meyer previously talked about FWTGA thusly. You can follow Dakota Meyer on Facebook here. “There are so many reasons why I need to be positive, starting with the memory of my brothers, Lt. Johnson, Gunny Kenefick, Gunny Johnson, Doc Layton and SFC Westbrook. I had the honor to stand next to these brave men in combat and call them my brothers – I owe it to them to be positive. I have other reasons to be positive. I have an amazing family who has stood by me and supported me in the darkest moments of my life. I am also fortunate to have great friends who have my back no matter what the circumstances. There is a lot to be thankful for and to be positive about.” Dakota Meyer Explore RECOILweb:Review - Rebel Arms Lightning Mod IIPreview - Defensive Shield M&P ShieldThe Ashley Update: Four-shot .46 Caliber Pistol from the 1600sUnusual Suspects: Exotic Knives NEXT STEP: Download Your Free Target Pack from RECOILFor years, RECOIL magazine has treated its readers to a full-size (sometimes full color!) shooting target tucked into each big issue.
