ROSCH Works is a relatively new company in the field of gun accessories but certainly made a splash with the SL1. This might be someone you want to check out if you're looking for a gift that's less wearable, more functional (or more ideas check the article beginning page 106 in RECOIL #22; Holiday Buyers Guide).
The SL1 is a combination of a 250 lumen light with a front sight. Now you can mount your front sight as far forward as you want and still have your light at the 12 O'clock position. The SL1 like any good light has momentary and constant on as its options. Push the tail cap (not a clicky button like most lights) for momentary or twist it for constant on. If I can find a Canadian dealer for this I will be getting it for myself for the holidays. I have a little 7.5″ barreled North Eastern Arms AR in 7.62×39 that this would work awesome with.
If the tailcap activation isn't your thing and your prefer a tape switch ROSCH has you covered with the SLA1 replacement cap that allows the use of SureFire tape switches.
If you have a light in the 0.995 – 1.005” diameter range like the SureFire Fury then you can get the SLM1 allowing you to use your own light.
The ROSCH Works C7 is part brake, compensator and flash hider. Made of 416 stainless and covered with a melonite surface treatment this is a good looking and tough muzzle brake.
You can check out the small but mighty selection of gear from ROSCH Works here, or check them out on Facebook. You can read what my good friend Matt from Jerking The Trigger has to say about the SL1 here.

Rosch Works mission –
- to design innovative, truly useful accessories and components for the AR15
- to manufacture them with high quality in the USA
- to sell at a decent price
- to provide the best possible customer service including a money-back guarantee
ROSCH Works began operations in July 2012. The team comes from Next Generation Arms, the creator of the innovative X7 carbine. NGA pioneered use of Cerakote coatings years before it became popular and probably pushed them further than anyone else. At NGA we developed several unique lower receivers including the best ambidextrous receiver ever. Other developments included forends, monolithic receivers, high performance muzzle device, leak-tight low-profile gas block… etc.
ROSCH Works was formed to concentrate on components and accessories.
