Learn More Steve Reichert‘s an original badass, a decorated U.S. Marine and unapologetically in-your-face about promoting the kind of raw meat, all-American values sadly lacking in some of our coastal cities. Since parting from the USMC after surviving injuries suffered in an IED attack, he founded and grew one of the most respected training organizations in the country. –Iain Harrison, Editor, RECOIL Magazine Steve Reichert Training has partnered with the Mountain Shooting Center for a training opportunity that's usually only open to elite snipers and instructors. The training theories that have been picked up while on a flat range will be thrown out the window because of the high altitude and steep angles that affect you and the projectile. Space is limited to five participants, so if you're interested in learning from one of the best– don't drag your feet. WHAT TO EXPECT During the three-day course, participants will engage targets: ranging from 600 to 2600 meters in down angles ranging from 500 to 2750 meters in up angles on a known distance range out to 1700 meters The course gear list is: Primary Precision Weapon, (READY TO GO TO WAR) Ammunition + [50 Rounds per day] Spare Magazines Eye & Ear Protection Shooting Sling Ballistic Software Calculator (Solar Powered) Data Book, Notebook, Pen & Pencil Sniper Tools, “Angle Cosine Indicator” Mounted Weather Station (Handheld) Laser Range Finder Binoculars Spotting Scope with Tripod Shooting Bags (Optional) Small Survival Kit Night Vision Devices (if you have) Aspirin (to relieve high-altitude symptoms) Back Pack Gloves Cold Weather Jacket Hat(s), (Floppy) Quality Boots, (Sticky Soles preferred) Rifle Cleaning Kit Optics Cleaning Kit Tools First Aid Kit Sun Block, Lip Balm & Insect Repellent Weapon Replacement Parts Spare Batteries & Charging Cables Knee / Elbow Pads Flashlight / Headlamp Knife, Pruning Shears 550 Chord (50’) Cataplex E2 (to relieve high-altitude symptoms) After reading the gear list, you can tell this course is for shooters who have a firm grasp of long range shooting. As Reichert puts it, “This is not a course for a basic shooter. You must have a firm grasp of the basic marksmanship principles needed to make accurate long-range shots. Your guns and gear must be set up as if you were deploying. If you’re an accurate shooter yet are a walking soup sandwich when it comes to everything else, this is not the course for you.” Going down the checklist, shipping gear ahead of time.
