Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office Adopts B&T APC9 Pro For School Resource Officers

Florida’s Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has adopted and ordered an undisclosed number of B&T USA APC9 Pro platforms with Glock 9mm lower receivers.

These Pro packages include folding stocks, Aimpoint Micro T1 red dots, 22mm B&T QD mounts, and a Vertx Ready Pack 2.0 bag.

The PCCs are compact packages designed to give officers a more capable platform than their sidearms alone and will be issued to the department’s School Resource Officer program, Detective Bureau, and other specialized units within the Sheriff’s Office.

HCSO has not announced how many B&T APC9 Pros were ordered nor how they will be issued between the various specialized units.

“Many of our specially selected Deputies have been employing B&T USA APC9 models for several years now, and the feedback I have received from them is they couldn’t be more satisfied with the performance of these modern, compact, and versatile 9mm platforms,” stated Sheriff Chad Chronister, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. “Given the complex nature of some of the more specialized calls for service we have been responding to, expanding the issuance of this high-performance platform provides Deputies with a necessary tool to ensure the security of those we have been entrusted to protect.”

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, located in Hillsborough County, Florida is the 10th largest county law enforcement agency in the United States for total law enforcement and civilian staffing, employing over 3,500 personnel, nationally ranking it 61st in sworn law enforcement personnel, and second largest in the State of Florida.
