Learn More A Southern California based company, Mid-Evil Industries, has a new vertical fore grip out that swivels 360°. The intention is to allow the shooter more control of the front end of his or her rifle.Called the 360° VFG, it is available with Picatinny, MLok and Key Mod attachments to mount on a variety of rifles, carbines, shotguns and sub machineguns. It was developed by the designer and inventor of the Mag Magnet and TX3, company owner and founder, Steve Azhocar. Says Steve, “I've never really been happy with the vertical grips available on the market and for years I've had this idea to create a vertical fore grip that would adjust to any angle easily and on the fly. That's what makes this grip so unique. There is nothing like this out there.”In a runup to SHOT Show we received a sample and tried it on a variety of rifles. The 360° VFG can rotate to just about any angle the shooter desires and locks into place with a quick twisting action. It truly gives the shooter a more dynamic hold than standard VFGs and has the potential to be the next evolution in vertical fore grips. Our test model felt like a rock solid piece of equipment, but it is actually hollow and has a compartment to store spare batteries, a “last round” or even a spare bolt should the shooter need to change out in the event of equipment failure. We did not expect to see this feature but found it works extremely well and makes a great product even better, like eating an apple pie and finding a $5 bill at the bottom of the tin! In the past many of us shunned VFGs because they tend to cause the shooter to “muscle the rifle”, which can induce shake and leads to inaccuracy, but the positioning of the 360° VFG makes it act more like a shooting rest than a broom handle that could make the shooter want to put a death grip on it.We see a huge potential for this VFG in competitive shooting as well as full on tactical use and think it could have great applications when shooting supported from behind a barricade. For more information check them out on the web: http://mid-evilindustries.com/index.php https://www.facebook.com/MidEvilIndustries https://instagram.com/midevilindustries/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBnbRWhcOFbftjhAnVwEaBQ ##### Check out a steady stream of images from SHOT this year appearing in this article. What is the NSSF SHOT Show? The NSSF SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show) and Conference is an annual event held by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Typically attended by thousands of people from all 50 states and over a hundred countries, it is (quite rightfully) described as the “…world's premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services. Imagine the Worlds' Fair, but packed with everything from mini-guns and every breed of body armor, bows and boots; from eye pro and ear pro to optics and ordnance, socks to swords…you get the idea.
