Guns Kinetic Development Group SCAR Sling Mounts Now Available Recoil Staff February 12, 2015 Join the Conversation Kinetic Development Group (KDG) just announced that their SCAR sling mounts are now available. A while back we received some pre-production samples and reviewed the mounts, which you can check out here. There are two versions: a front receiver plate (FAQP), which replaces the factory sling loops with two quick-disconnect points, and a rear quick-disconnect point (KRQP) which bolts directly to the receiver. Here's what they have to say about it: Most shooters using the SCAR have struggled with different sling mounting solutions. The KDG designed Front Ambidextrous QD point (FAQP) mount is a deceivingly simple superiorly designed solution for any SCAR owner. The Front Ambi QD Point replaces the existing factory “HK” point piece with a QD mounting point on either side of the rifle. We specifically wanted a more rugged, streamlined mount that is failure proof and looks more like a factory part then a bulbous aftermarket accessory. Since the factory stock and backend of the SCAR platform provides no QD points, we developed the Kinetic Rear QD Point (KRQP). Our reduced profile Rear QD point attaches in minutes with no disassembly of the rifle. It can be installed on either side of the rifle, and tightly hugs the rear lower HK style factory attachment loop. This is the ideal sling mounting point for those who prefer utilizing a single point QD mounted Sling, but works equally well for those who wish to run a two point sling off the rear of the receiver. Pricing is $49 for the front plate and $28 for the rear QD point.
