If you are on the fence about whether you want to drop that new custom rifle into a chassis or a fiberglass stock, McMillan Fiberglass Stocks' new SENTRY modular bolt gun stock might be the answer.
While the new stock does not ship with a buttstock or grip, it is compatible with AR-style stocks through your choice of AR buffer tube size and standard AR-15 grips. The stock can be inletted for most Remington 700 pattern receivers and has other options available like molded-in color, optional studs, rails, and comes standard with the buttstock/grip adaptor.
MSRP for the new stock with no inlet starts at $338.00 and goes up to $548.00 with full inletting for the action, floorplate, and barrel channel.
More from McMillan:
McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, the recognized leader in innovative, high-performance precision shooting rifle stocks, introduces the new SENTRY stock. Based on most Remington type actions, this new stock can be custom-configured by the user to accept AR-style buttstocks and grips, improving marksmanship performance.
The new McMillan® SENTRY is a compact, precision rifle stock that delivers on the company's proven performance in the Remington action arena. With the growing popularity and familiarity of long range tactical shooters using PRS and DMR setups, the SENTRY accepts buffer tube-based adjustable (and folding) AR1-5 buttstocks and countless AR-15 pistol grips to develop a custom, hybrid shooting platform that blends the best of the bolt rifle and the tactical semi-auto rifle worlds.
Offered with full inletting (barrel and action), molded-in color, and buttstock/grip adapter, the SENTRY features a squared fore end for maximum retention and adaptation when used in a tripod mounting system. Optional studs, rails, and other accessories are available, and the stock can be inletted to accommodate most Remington-type actions. The grip, buttstock, and butter tube are not included.
