Morale patches are now very nearly ubiquitous. Today I'm happy to share the announcement of the founding of the Hook & Loop Society. The Hook & Loop Society comes to us from ITS Tactical. In the invite (which arrived on parchment complete with wax seal, pretty classy Bryan), the Society is described as having a mission dedicated to the “…quality and design of morale patches.” That sounds good to me – I'm a fan of the entire concept, from the old “unauthorized patches” guys in the military have had made for decades to the first groundbreaking patches released MilSpec Monkey (the progenitor of the modern morale patch phenomenon) to the vast number of collectibles available today.
The Hook & Loop Society is a now a sub-community on Reddit. You can learn more about it online at www.hookandloopsociety.com. Check it out. There's a video from the ITS staff wherein they explain their various perspectives on morale patches and what they hope to achieve. You'll also find instructions on how to apply for membership to the Society.
Go check it out.
