We don’t just welcome reader feedback, we encourage it. And one of the most common requests we get is to produce more RECOIL more frequently. Well, we’re definitely gearing up to meet the demand by adding more staff, creating tons of new story ideas, and increasing to a bimonthly publishing schedule.

The bad news is that because of all the changes we’re making, our next regular issue isn’t set to hit newsstands until April — but we’re confident it will be the best one yet. The good news is that we’re beefing up our online content and producing a special issue. During the week of January 14, we’ll be providing up-to-the-minute coverage of the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas. You’ll find this website updated daily with photos of the latest firearms, state-of-the-art gear, and breaking industry news.

Then on January 29 we’ll be releasing on newsstands RECOIL’s first Target Pack special issue, which includes a 16-page section with in-depth tutorials on shooting the two most popular platforms: AR rifles and semi-auto handguns. This bad boy also comes stuffed with 10 high-quality targets — some designed for just plain fun while others for honing your skills at long range or close up. Plus, we’re doubling the pleasure by including a two-sided poster featuring one of our sexy “Going Hot” models posing with firearms from our arsenal.

In just one year, RECOIL has gone from a special issue to a quarterly publication to a bimonthly magazine, picking up three awards along the way — all because of your outstanding support and helpful feedback. We know that our best is yet to come, and we hope that our SHOT Show coverage will prove entertaining and that the Target Pack will give you another excuse to hit the range.
