Learn More Written by Jacki Billings Noveske Rifleworks is shortening the stick, unveiling the new Ghetto Blaster Rifle series on their Gen. 4 AR platform. Starting with three models, the Ghetto Blaster Rifle offers a customized version of the company’s Gen. 4 receiver set, collapsible stock, and Noveske handguards. Available in either M-LOK or Keymod, Ghetto Blasters are intended to accept PDW stocks. The Gen. 4 the receivers fully ambidextrous, to include magazine and bolt releases, the safety selector, and even integral QD points. Just so you can imagine yourself as a modern-day John McClane, Noveske has alluded to an SD version of the Ghetto Blaster–with a vague release date of early 2018. For now, Noveske offers the Ghetto Blaster in 7-inch and 16-inch configurations. Though both models are largely the same, the 5.25-pound 7-inch version offers more chamberings outfitted in either 5.56 or 300 BLK. The 16-inch version is configured in 5.56 only. Both the 7-inch and 16-inch variants have a 1:7 twist barrel topped off with a Q Cherry Bomb Muzzle Brake. Other parts include a Noveske marked Geissele Super Badass Charging Handle, Magpul K2 grip, MBUS Pro BUIS, an adjustable gas block, and Geissele SD-E trigger. The stubby 7-inch Ghetto Blaster has an initial MSRP of $2,150, while the 16-inch model comes in slightly higher at $2,300; though Noveske offers the first 100 pre-ordered rifles with a 10-percent discount. Noveske tells us the Ghetto Blaster rifles are set to reach consumers in late December.
