Learn More Grey Ghost Precision has quietly released a new optic that has been getting a lot of attention on the Instergramz. Built in collaboration with Kruger Optical, the CF-5 is a 1-5 power variable optic, and it's built of carbon fiber. This evidently makes it incredibly strong without sacrificing any strength or durability, and leaves it weighing just 14.3 oz, which they advise is the lightest scope of its kind on the market. They also tell us it was developed in conjunction with SOF units and some of the best civilian competition shooters in the world. GGP is known to have strong relationships with current and former 1st and 19th Group personnel. They also have close platonic and familial ties to current and former SFARTAETC (Special Forces Advanced Reconnaissance Target Analysis and Exploitation Techniques) and SFAUC (Special Forces AdvancedUrban Combat) cadre, so the claim that SOF guys helped developed the new optic is likely not hyperbole. The 1-5 magnification is in a 30mm tube with a 25mm objective opening, and features an illuminated Kruger “quick acquisition reticle.” As GGP tells it, the scope was designed, “…by those who depend on their glass to be an extension of their rifle, without the burden of much additional weight.” The CF-5 is currently available only through Rainier Arms, right here. MSRP is $1,199.99, though as of this writing it is on sale for $1,099.99 here. GGP is on Instagram, @greyghostprecision, or you can join the “Grey Ghost Mafia” hhere.
