Learn More The KNS Precision adjustable AK gas piston allows you to customize how much gas is pushing the bolt carrier. Think of it like an adjustable gas block for an AR-15. While many just use the KNS piston for suppressed use, because the AK is just so damn overgassed in the first place, most guns can benefit from their use. And they have a lot of them. We put together a Mini Draco SBR a while back, specifically for use with a Dead Air Wolverine silencer. There's almost no gas piston to speak of, so we had little hope of an adjustable piston. In fact, the gas piston on the Mini Draco is so small that a recoil buffer is required or else the bolt carrier completely jump the rails. So when the folks at KNS Precision reached out and asked if we wanted hands on, of course we accepted. What you see here is pre-production, so some parts are in the white. Full production pieces will all have properly treated parts. A standard-size KNS piston gives you more than 100 settings. Obviously, something so small won't have the same range of adjustability. What you do get are ten settings. After some experimentation, the short barreled Mini Draco with the silencer ran 100% two clicks from wide open. Reduced recoil, reduced parts wear. No brainer. Hey there, I have a Mini Draco and want to suppress it; this KNS piston is on my list. Just curious, were you firing subsonic or supers with that setting? And if you were firing subs, do you think it would be possible to fire supers with the vent all the way open? Thanks for any and all feedback!
