Springfield Armory has announced the arrival of the Springfield XD Threaded Barrel for XD(M) 4.5 in. full size 9mm handguns. As they tell it,
The XD(M)® 4.5” Full Size/Threaded Barrel (9mm) still has everything you want and need in a pistol – superior ergonomics, reliable performance, and intuitive usability. And now you can make it a little quieter.
This version of the polymer XD(M) 4.5 in. full size pistol is railed and currently available only in a flat bi-tone Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finish. It ships with suppressor-height 3 dot sights, interchangeable backstrap, ambi mag release, USA Ultra Safety Assurance Action Trigger System and of course Springfield XD Threaded Barrel. In addition to the recently announced 9mm version you can purchase the weapon chambered in .45ACP.
