I found Mr. Tsai’s comment about why the MP7 should not be sold to civilians a ray of rationality in a universe that seems bereft of any desire for actual facts. As soon as I read the comment (in an issue of the magazine i bought at Wal Mart on a trip to stock up on .40 cal ammo) I resolved to subscribe to the magazine. Now i find you have run Mr. Tsai off out of deference to the loudmouth Neanderthals who think we should all have RPGs at home in case we need to secede from the Union again. So I won’t be subscribing, unless you do the right thing and rehire Mr. Tsai.

I personally think Mr. Tsai resigning is the correct move. I personally don’t want to read a gun magazine that is against gun rights. I am one of “those people” that thinks you should be able to own a SBR or full auto weapon. It is about the freedom to choose, if you want to jump through the hoops to get a SBR or full auto weapon why not?

Mr. Phillips, I think you will find yourself to be in the distinct minority on this one. Our second amendment rights are under attack daily by many outside forces. We don’t need someone with as prominent a platform as a magazine editor giving our enemies something to use against us. I really like the magazine and think that after the initial stumbles, this was handled as well as the publisher could have managed. I think Recoil will be fine so long as they stick with this path.

I support the 2nd, to quote John Basil Barnhill “When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.” An unarmed populace can easily be ruled by an armed minority. If they have machine guns and we have single shot .22s, how do you think that is going to turn out? How many people spend the money to get the concealed carry license, take the classes, spend $200 on the tax stamps, invest in this lifestyle, then actually go on to commit mass murder? You call us Neanderthals, brilliant, when you can’t come up with a cogent argument, belittle your opponent and attack their beliefs. We have a 1st amendment for a reason, maybe respect that?

Honest, law-abiding citizens have to jump through 69 hoops to exercise our rights while criminals terrorize Detroit and the cops want guns out of our hands?

I love the magazine, it is unfortunate that Mr. Tsai has to resign for what I hope was poor wording.

I don’t want an RPG so I can secede, it is a) cool and b) to keep the authorities a little afraid that if they push us too far we will do something about it. Heard of the “Battle of Athens?” Google it, 1946. Do you want to protect your home or liberty with a bat or a knife?
