CONCEALMENT 16 Optimized: CZ P10C Tom Marshall Join the Conversation At RECOIL, we review every product fairly and without bias. Making a purchase through one of our links may earn us a small commission, and helps support independent gun reviews. Learn More This is the inaugural installment of Optimized, an occasional column where we explore the aftermarket parts that enhance the capabilities and performance of a particular firearm. The P10 line is CZ’s entry into the modern, duty-oriented striker-fired pistol market. With full-size, compact, and subcompact models available, they offer flexibility and parts commonality regardless of what size profile best fits your needs. We’ve reviewed both the –C and –S models, and found them excellent concealed-carry options with little to no modifications. Having said that, it’s always nice to know what your options are. The current P10 aftermarket isn’t particularly extensive compared to similar handguns. But it is out there. The following list is a sampling of what’s available should you be in the market for a P10, or if you’re ready to customize your own. Slide milling ($250, $375 w/optics cut): Southwest Precision Arms, located outside of Phoenix, Arizona, used our test gun to showcase its Aggressor cut. This is a duty-focused slide treatment, providing aggressive, wraparound front serrations that removes some mass from the slide without windows or ports. If you prefer open-window cuts in your slide, SW Precision offers an alternate version of this package that includes them. While we elected not to put a red-dot on this pistol, optics cuts are available as part of the Aggressor package. Southwest Precision’s Aggressor slide cut enhances the aesthetic while also providing enhanced front cocking serrations. Slide coating ($180): We know there’s an infinite number of options for firearms finishes. Some are better than others. The team at P4 Coatings is one of our favorites – with a keen attention to detail, great customer service, and a passion for artistic jobs. The slide pictured here is the result of a challenge to recreate the unique markings of the prehistoric antihero “Blue” from Jurassic World. (There’s a matching Blue-themed AR featured in RECOIL #46.) P4 Coatings works exclusively by hand with KG GunKote. Barrel & Guide Rod ($225 & $41): For both the barrel and guide rod, we went to Primary Machine. Its barrels are made from 416R stainless, button rifled, spiral fluted, and capped with a deep crown. They’re cut specifically to sit flush with the slide, as opposed to the OEM tube, which can poke out a couple millimeters. They’re available threaded or unthreaded in either black or gold nitride finish.
