Pulsar Introduces the Digisight 850 Laser Rangefinder

Pulsar, whom you might remember from the Digisight night vision rifle scope, has announced the latest incarnation of that optic: the Digisight 850 LRF, a digital NV rifle scope featuring a built-in laser rangefinder. The new scope shows true horizontal distance (THD) and has an AoE (Angle of Elevation) function. It will also allow the user to switch between menu and yards and features a selection of range finding indicators, with 13 selectable electronic reticles in 4 color options.

Pulsar advises,

“With a maximum measuring range of over 400 yards and accuracy of ±1m, the built-in rangefinder allows you to estimate distance to your target long before the target sees you. The rangefinder features not only single mode on a single object, but also scanning mode, suitable for tracking fast moving targets or targets located far from each other. This makes the scope ideal for predator and varmint applications like hog and coyote hunting.”

The 850 LF has a 640×480 resolution OLED display and CCD sensor; its 4.5 optical magnification is augmented by a 2x continuous digital zoom Pulsar advises will not impact image sharpness. There is also an internal Signal Processing Program (Sum Light™) that will provide image enhancement without using the IR illuminator.
