Learn More Radian Weapons and Noveske Rifleworks have teamed up to put together a rally against a number of proposed anti-gun bills in Oregon's capital on March 23rd starting at 12 PM. The staff at Radian have decided it’s time to take a stand with our fellow Oregonians. As many of you know, the Oregon House and Senate have introduced numerous firearms related bills that are nothing short of tyrannical. A quick recap on some of the bills being proposed. SB 501 would require individuals to secure a permit, valid for only 90 days from the date of issuance, before purchasing or receiving a firearm. Limit purchases to one handgun and one long gun in a 30 day period. Require firearms to be stored in a locked container or with a trigger/cable lock and for the reporting of lost or stolen firearms within 24 hours. The bill would also prohibit the possession of magazines with a capacity greater than five rounds, require background checks for the purchase ammunition, and restrict ammunition purchases to no more than 20 rounds within a 30 day period. Lastly, firearm transfers to be delayed up to 14 days for the Oregon State Police to conduct background checks. HB 2251 would define many commonly owned semi-automatic firearms as “assault rifles,” prohibit young adults under the age of 21 from receiving newly defined “assault rifles,” require firearm transfers be delayed up to 30 days for the Oregon State Police to conduct background checks, and impose penalties for those who allow a minor to access a firearm, punishable by a maximum of 364 days imprisonment, $6,250 fine, or both. Also in the pipeline are SB 275 and companion HB 2505, SB 87, and the newly introduced HB 3265. In an effort to raise funds, Radian is selling limited edition Raptor charging handles that will come with a matching Talon safety selector. 100% of the proceeds will go towards the rally itself. So far, Radian has raised over $100,000 for the event which is being used for buses, food, and awareness. There are also a number of speakers being lined up for the event. If you're an Oregonian, block your calendar for March 23, join Radian, Noveske, myself, and others at Salem and rally for your rights! Stay informed of the event via Facebook here.
