Rainier Arms has expanded their UltraMatch Billet Upper & Ambi Lower Combo Set line with a new .308 Win version. InĀ RECOIL Issue #11, we looked at their AR15 variant, which can be built out for several calibersĀ (5.56mm, .300BLK, .22LR and others), and found it to be an excellent and fully-featured offering. The .308 set is similarly CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, then milspec anodized black with a 60 Rockwell hardness rating.
The Rainier set conforms to the DPMS pattern, so the upper is compatible with DPMS high profile handguards and the lower accepts the ever-popular Magpul PMAGs. The lower receiver is chock full of features including an ambidextrous bolt release, QD sling swivel sockets on both sides, integrated trigger guard, tensioning fitment screw and a flared magwell. Note that the upper does not have a forward assist. Rainer is also including their Raptor ambidextrous charging handle with every set.
MSRP for the Rainer Arms UltraMatch Billet Upper & Ambi Lower Combo Set .308 is $649.
