In this edition of Mail Call, we field test an offering from Toor Knives.
The Field 2.0 is a fixed blade, made right here in the US of A, and we were fortunate enough to be able to try this out on a recent Carnivore hunt in the Rockies. What better place to put a field knife to the actual test than in the rugged, often brutal terrain of the San Juan mountains? You're right, there probably isn't a better place. A small, compact fixed blade, the Field 2.0 may not have a giant signature, but it more than makes up for its smaller stature. Besides, being a nice little compact blade, it's pretty comfortable to wear around all day, even when scaling to 10k+ feet of mountainside. Features such as a KG Gunkote finish, a razor sharp but amazingly durable blade edge, and spiral fluting that feels phenomenal in your hand (even when ya may have a tiny bit of blood and/or guts present) are but a few examples of the quality of craftsmanship offered by Toor. Follow RECOIL's Digital Newsroom Editor, Forrest Cooper, as he not only takes you through the ins and outs of the Field 2.0, but also showcases how this bad boy operates doing the ACTUAL dirty work a successful hunt entails!
