Gadget Fu: Rekonect Notebook

Rekonect is a Kickstarter project for magnetic journal with removable and reattachable pages. If you're hard on your paper and tired of putting those little stick-on reinforcements over the holes, this might be for you.

Smaller than a normal piece of paper, this sleek looking notebook packs a surprise in the spine.

A magnet allows the pages to snap in and out with no mechanical fastener.  It also holds your pen on the spine when not in use.  Or, stick the book to your fridge when you don't need it.  It also allows you to easily rearrange pages.

There will be several types of paper to pick from when the Rekonect Notebook is released.  A combination of all of them would make for a really useful notebook.

The pages are also print- and scan-safe, so you can add tables of often used reference material or images to your book.

Don't worry, with most modern electronics the magnet shouldn't pose a problem.

The Kickstarter for this project ends December 13th. If you want to get one hurry up and get in on it; this project has already doubled its goal. Hopefully waterproof pages come out for this at a later date. It would make a great range book.

About the Rekonect Notebook

The Rekonect Notebook is the first and only one of its kind. This journal is designed to function better than a traditional binder because of its magnetic spine. This allows for easy removable/reattachable pages, while still retaining the sexy look of a traditional notebook.

The Rekonect Notebook has a hard cover made of high quality black faux leather that gets better with age. We have used a high grade elastic to hold the notebook closed.

Each notebook comes with high quality grade paper of 120 pages or 60 sheets. When the Kickstarter Campaign ends we will send out a survey asking you which type of paper you would like to have in your notebook(s). These include: line, graph, dotted, or blank paper. Additional packets of paper will come in a total of 240 pages or 120 sheets.
