Review – the B.E. Meyers 249F Flash Hider

A few days ago we showed you the 40th anniversary video from BE Meyers & Co. Though it has been popular for many years now, not everyone knows all the details of how it developed and what it does – it just hasn't had the same sort of focus and sexy marketing that other flash hiders have had (this is in no small part due to the the small, family-owned company's focus on providing equipment to the military during 13 years of war). Many warfighters will recognized these flash hiders from the “heavies” they used in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places – but they're available in responsible, armed citizen size too.

Black Sheep Warrior recently ran a review of the BE Meyers & Co. flash hider, referencing the thorough testing done by Andrew Tuohy over on Vuurwapen Blog.

“As an end user I had the opportunity to put to the 249F to the test on the range and see how it pans out to the common shooter. It’s worth all the hype. I thought the recoil mitigation was good and performed well taking away the flash signature. Added bonus. It’s the good old sound of American freedom when those tuning forks start to sing.”
