Savage Unveils New Accufit Guns for 2019

Savage's Accufit Modular Stock system allows each shooter to set up their gun in the way that fits them best. Having the perfect stock fit allows shooters to shoulder and fire the guns more comfortably and quickly. Savage sought to give this ability to their customers, without the need for a gunsmith to make the adjustments.

The Accufit system features comb inserts and length of pull spacers which can easily be removed or inserted a simple Phillips screwdriver in mere minutes. Proper length of pull gives better trigger control, while appropriate comb height properly lines the shooters eye up with their optic. All of this yields more accuracy and quicker shots when it matters most.

Young shooters (and their parents' wallets) also benefit from Savage's Accufit system. By being able to make the necessary adjustments to the gun, the gun can grow as the shooter grows, taking away the need to take the gun to a gunsmith or replace it when the child outgrows it.

After previously introducing ten models with the Accufit system, Savage is proud to announce two new models for 2019: The new 110 High Country rifle and 212/220 bolt-action turkey shotgun.

The 110 High Country rifle was designed with long range hunters in mind and leaves not a single detail behind.  This long-range rifle is lightweight and boasts a spiral-fluted barrel and bolt, as well as the Model 110 action secured three-dimensionally along its entire length within the AccuStock internal chassis. True to its 110 name, the High Country features a floating bolt head and a barrel nut that ensures proper headspacing.

Like other 110 rifles, the AccuFit system lets hunters customize the length of pull and comb height of the TrueTimber Strata synthetic stock, and comes with the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, The High Country’s low-friction PVD coating on the barrel, receiver, and other critical parts is harder than competing finishes and protects against corrosion and heat. At just 2 to 4 microns thick the coating does not interfere with the rifle’s tight tolerances. Other key features include overmolded grip surfaces and a threaded muzzle (magnum calibers include a muzzle brake with taper lock interface). The new 110 High Country is available in 11 calibers from .243 Winchester to .300 Win. Mag., including versatile high-mountain cartridges like the flat-shooting .280 Ackley Improved, 7mm Rem. Mag. and the hot new 6.5 PRC.

MSRP for the 110 High Country is $1,129.

Also for 2019, Savage has added the 212/220 bolt-action turkey shotgun to the long list of Accufit enhanced firearms. The Savage Model 212 (12-gauge) and 220 (20-gauge) bolt-action Turkey shotguns are built around the Model 110 rifle action, which is machined from steel bar stock and secured three-dimensionally along its entire length by the AccuStock internal chassis.

Their blued, 22-inch carbon steel, smooth-bore barrels are free-floating and secured to the receiver using a Model 110-style locking nut. A user-adjustable AccuTrigger paired with the AccuFit system allows hunters to customize their trigger, length-of-pull, and comb height for a custom fit. The detachable, two-round magazine enables quick loading, and the oversize bolt knob helps operation with gloved hands.

Both the 212 and 220 Turkey come with synthetic stocks in Mossy Oak Obsession camouflage. A top rail that allows the shooter to easily mount an optic, and a removable extra-full turkey choke is included. The threaded barrel accepts Winchester choke tubes.

MSRP is $695 for the Savage 220 Turkey and $779 for the 212 Turkey.
