Defense Sentinel Concepts – skills put to use Recoil Staff October 7, 2014 Join the Conversation At RECOIL, we review every product fairly and without bias. Learn More Congratulations and job well done to William Petty and Steve Fisher for providing instruction that saved lives and helped enable good guys to prevail. We cannot yet go into detail as 2 different shooting events in 2 different jurisdictions are ongoing investigations, however we can say this – the vehicle and low light tactics they teach obviously work. Both Fisher and Petty have a strong, diverse “On The Job” background. They also both have a passion for teaching things that will allow their students not just to stay alive, but to prevail. Here's a few pictures from a couple of past classes – you'll note in some cases, for specific reasons, they're using “temple index”. We point this out because a couple of people have shown their ignorance lately by decrying this “new fad in TTPs”, when in fact this (like the “C clamp” technique before it) has been used for years by some units and agencies (including the Secret Service) when fighting in vehicles, working close protection, etc. That's not intended as an argument for or against the technique, just an observation that a little due diligence is in order before mocking something you might not understand in context.
