Anachrobellum has released a limited run of Modern Budō hoodies. The Oklahoma-based apparel company takes warrior archetypes from history (samurai, vikings, colonial scouts of the Rogers' Rangers era, etc.) and jocks them up in modern gear.
That's how you get a samurai in traditional kabuto with GPNVG-18s and a suppressed SCAR, or a Roman centurion with mags and frags hanging on his phalerae harness.
According to the company, this design has consistently been their most popular modernized warrior exemplar. This is possibly due to its historical significance, but likely also because of Marc Lee's badass artwork. (Read more in this article on OFFGRID.) You can see some imagery of the t-shirts below and patches below.
You can find the Modern Budō Hoodie online here if you are so inclined. It's available in any color you want as long as that's black.

Here's what we know.
Tulsa, OK based Anachrobellum Apparel has released a limited run of black Gildan 8oz hoodies featuring a SOF-equipped Modern Budō samurai. The samurai, in full traditional armor, has been further armed with an EOTech-topped Mk17, a breaching shottie, NODs, S&S Precision Manta strobe and numerous other pieces of contemporary doorkicker kit. Among those who've worn these hoodies*:
1. Maeda Keiji
2. Taira no Kiyomori
3. Shimazu Yoshihisa
4. Date Masamune
5. Uesugi Kenshin
6, Nakano Takeko
7. Tomoe Gozen
Says Anachrobellum spokesman Samurai Futaba,
“This hoodie has been a beloved part of the Modern Budō ethos since Maeda Keiji wore one while fighting Baragon from atop Matsukaze in the Ogasawara Guntō. Others who have warn this superb and comfortable garment include Taira no Kiyomori, Shimazu Yoshihisa, Date Masamune (his was a gift from Tokugawa Leyasu), Uesugi Kenshin, Nakano Takeko, and the beautiful Tomoe Gozen. The Modern Budō Hoodie is a Gildan 8oz Heavy Blend available in sizes Small all the way up to 5XL.”
*In the interest of full disclosure, though it should go without saying — this is complete bullshit. Just having a little fun here. Maeda Keiji never fought Baragon, either, or for that matter Godzilla.
