SilencerCo tells us they have paired up with knife maker Gerry McGinnis of McGinnis Custom Knives to produce a limited-edition run of Mini Exos — but only 32 of them. As they describe their latest collaboration,
“McGinnis is known within the knife world as one of the most renowned and respected makers of custom and midtech blades. His creations are so sought after, fans will swarm his booth at industry events solely to enter a raffle for a chance to win the ability to purchase one of his knives.”
Further details: The backspacer is about 1/2 the length of the handle, in the center, and the blase is 3.25 in. long by .145 in. thick. All are made in the USA by Gerry McGinnis and his father, who are headquartered in Rocky Mount, North Carolina; the only thing not done by the two of them themselves is the grinding. McGinnis has been making custom knives since 2004. He says,
“Being able to make knives every day as a full time maker is something that I love and look forward to doing every single day!”
