SOG Specialty Knives & Tools has introduced the BladeLight series of knives in both a folding and fixed application. It’s patent pending technology employs 6 LEDs molded into the GRN handle on either side of the knife blade, providing shadowless light when cutting or flashlight capability (while sheathed or closed). Of course the knives can still be used without turning on the LEDs. Powered by standard alkaline batteries, state of the art push button switches/circuitry and an IPX-7 rating for water resistance to full immersion it’s easy to see the BladeLight is no amateur.
