HBG: Speak softly and carry a Boris Palatnik cane

Here's another expansion of our Holiday Buyers Guide. If you are on the lookout for a fine handcrafted walking stick for yourself or a special someone, there is one craftsman who stands head and shoulders above the rest: Boris Palatnick. A Boris Palatnik cane has something “special” inside of them (something beyond the artist's heart and soul).

Boris makes the shafts of his canes from the finest exotic hard woods. Think ebony, ironwood and rosewood in 7/8″ diameter about 36″ long (though he can go longer or shorter if needed). There is no reason anyone of any stature should do without one of these canes.

The handles are special because they weigh in at close to 6 ounces and are cast in Sterling silver, German silver or Yellow Bronze. The silver can be plated in gold as well.

That something special inside can come in the form of a 6 to 18-inch blade. Again, knowing the state of affairs with TSA, Boris' unique sword canes have removable blades.
