It's hard to deny that Håkan Spuhr is at the forefront of design. He creates some of the best mounts in the world. It's pretty hard to attend a precision rifle competition and not see his mounts well represented. Every detail of the design is meticulously looked at and engineered for performance. The only complaint I can recall hearing other than I don't have that kind of cash is that they don't offer a QD mount.
Well now they do. These pictures are so new they don't even have a press release.
Spuhr will initially be releasing 6 models. Those will be 30 and 34mm mounts, however since they offer over 70 models of fixed mounts, you can expect that selection to expand with time and demand. You should also plan to see a 1.5 in. high mount in both straight and cantilever styles.
The Spuhr interface allows for accurate mounting of lasers, angle cosine indicators, backup red dots etc. The sight will also include the bubble level in the base of the mount. That's all the information we were able to squeeze out of Håkan thus far, but if you head to SHOT Show make sure to roll on over to the Mile High Shooting Accessories booth number 7506. You can check out more that Spuhr has to offer here and stay tuned for our review on the Fixed ISMS in the coming months.

The NSSF SHOT Show (Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show) and Conference is an annual event held by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Typically attended by thousands of people from all 50 states and over a hundred countries, it is (quite rightfully) described as the “…world's premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services.
Imagine the Worlds' Fair, but packed with everything from mini-guns and every breed of body armor, bows and boots; from eye pro and ear pro to optics and ordnance, socks to swords…you get the idea. View imagery from our coverage of last year's SHOT Show right here.
