Star Wars Rogue One trailer two was released yesterday, and it looks, well…borderline magnificent, if you have any nerd blood in you at anyway. The question now is, will the movie live up to the hype and expectation? Setting aside the rebels' unfortunate use of drop-holsters and the presence of 20th century smoke grenades on distant planets, we think the movie has promise.
It appears to have a good cast, the visuals look great and the writing — what we've heard of it — looks good, but then again all we've seen are trailers. A good trailer can make almost any film look good, as we've seen in the past with Prometheus, Suicide Squad, Tarzan, and others.
“[Watch] Jyn Erso leads a group of unlikely heroes to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters December 16, 2016.” From the trailer description
“The power that we are dealing with here is immeasurable.” Director Orson Krennic, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
“Man, I hope this doesn't suck, ‘cuz the trailers look seriously badass. Seriously, the whole gritty-samurai-desperation thing they have going is awesome. Please don't let this turn out like any of the last three Lucas did.” Pretty much everyone at RECOIL
