SureFire Appoints Derek McDonald as Senior VP of Sales and Marketing

SureFire announced Derek McDonald will be returning to the company as its Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The company released the following:

Fountain Valley, CA — SureFire, LLC, manufacturer of the world’s finest—and most innovative—illumination tools and tactical products, is proud to announce that Derek McDonald will be returning as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing reporting to Dr. John Matthews, SureFire’s President and founder. “I am thrilled to have Derek back on the team,” said Matthews. “He shares our values and focus on innovation, has a proven track record, and has shown himself to be an extraordinary leader and brand visionary throughout his career.”

McDonald first joined SureFire in 1997 as a founding member of the SureFire Institute, was SureFire’s VP of Marketing from 2006 to 2012, and returns after five years at PROOF Research as Chief Marketing Officer. “I am honored to once again be part of SureFire’s Made-in-America mission to produce the world’s finest illumination tools and tactical products,” said McDonald. “No one else comes close to matching their complete dedication to quality and ensuring the safety and success of their customers: I’m looking forward to contributing to that mission.”
